Mixing animation and live action

My initial idea is to create a music video combining live action footage and animation.

I want to use rotoscope animation in my project which involves drawing frame by frame on top of live action footage. From the examples above, the videos that use rotoscoping are "Hard Times" by Paramore, "Take On Me" by a-ha, "Shatter In The Night" by Vesperteen, and "Shoot The Runner" by Kasabian.
