Music video - song choice
Through researching codes and conventions of music videos which mix live action and animation, I have found that the songs used often have an upbeat tempo and have a large range of bold and interesting instrumentation. This allows the director to find a creative direction to take the music video in without necessarily having to follow a narrative or using the song lyrics as a guideline for the video.
I sent all the song options to my focus group and had them vote on which I should use.
Song options:
Twenty One Pilots - Fake You Out
FINAL CHOICE: Declan McKenna - Brazil
Album: What Do You Think About The Car? (2017)
Record label: Columbia Records
