Choosing the genre

I knew prior to beginning my research that I wanted to incorporate both live action and animation into my music video, and then through my research into this type of music video I found that around half of my example videos were in the "indie-rock" genre (including "Shatter In The Night" by Vesperteen and "Shoot The Runner" by Kasabian). Two of my other example videos were in the pop genre, but I choose to use Indie-Rock because I personally find this genre more lyrically and instrumentally interesting in general.
